Problems (Doomed to Repeat)

Infant boy toddled -
paused, unsure - dropped sand pail -
crumbled on knees - bawled.

I saw this boy in Santa Cruz this weekend.   For some reason he impressed me.  I think I found him cute because his dad was calling after him, asking him where he was going, but the baby didn't hear him.  If he did, he would have realized that he had no problems at all.  But he thought he was lost, and he just gave up and was despondent like his world ended.

There's something sweet and satisfying about being able to solve a person's every problem, to glue is world back together.  I imagine it's possible only at that age, which is why we love children.
