My Age-Old Feud with The Godfather

I think I might finally be coming around, and it sheds some light on why I hated it before. As with these opinion changes usually, I don't think I was wrong before. I think I hated the Godfather because it makes no sense. Everyone says something in a low mumbly voice, but they really mean something completely different. The only way to know what's going on is to know already what's going on. Hence, one's reaction might change after the 49th viewing.
