Validation: I don't have it
It's been so long since I've been validated. I'm not good at law, I can't keep many friends, I'm not even invited to the law school parties everyone is invited to, and I've never done anything cool, like front a feminist punk band.
Getting a job was sort of validating, but de minimis. It was more like a game of probabilities. If firms were hiring one person for every ten interviewed, it wasn't all that impressive that I was the one hired after nine interviews.
